Port City Home Services is a company whose goal is to maintain the health and wellness of seniors living in the community and those living in long-term care settings. We currently have approximately 60 employees and support several clients living at home in the HRM. We also provide staffing supports to long term care homes.
We currently require the services of an Operations Manager who is a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to manage the day to day business.
As part of the management team, the Operations Manager is responsible for the leadership for innovative projects and building capacity in the organization for sustainable current and future growth.
We are seeking an individual to join our team to manage several services including the J-Ro EZ Rest care wedge, In-Home Support, Ride Program and Foot Care services. The position scope includes:
Managing the daily operations and supports intake of new clients
Providing direct supervision for all staff as well as working within the team to coordinate human resources activities.
Providing staff education and training to maintain standards.
Complete in-home assessments for all in-home support clients.
Budget / financial accountability as appropriate.
Supporting the strategic and operational plan.
Current registration with the College of Nurses in Nova Scotia as a LPN.
Experience in human resource management required.
Experience in educating and mentoring staff required.
Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills are essential.
2+ years experience in a management role as a LPN.
Proven efficiency working in a fast pace environment balancing multiple demands.
Proficient with the use of various software systems including Microsoft Office suite of programs.
